Geographic:

Manatee County offers the "Perfect Combination." Ideally situated in the Tampa Bay Region, the county is just south of Tampa and north of Sarasota. It is Florida's closest deep-water port to Mexico and offers an excellent transportation linkage.

The total land area of Manatee County is 740 square miles. The approximate elevation is 9-17 feet. The average temperature in January is 61.3 degrees and in August it is 82 degrees. The average annual rainfall is 54.3 inches.

Climate

Southwest Florida is a tropical paradise. Warm temperatures, balmy breezes, sunny skies and an occasional shower are the norm. The Gulf Water temperature ranges from the mid 60's January through March and up into the mid 80's from June through September. Southwest Florida's average air temperature is 77 degrees.
